It is an intimidating thing, writing a business plan. I am in the middle of one right now, and was webbing around, looking for further inspiration when I stumbled upon this little article at a website called Gradual Change. There’s nothing particularly revolutionary about the piece, but it kicked into gear something in my brain: Writing out a plan is scary, in a business setting, because it forces you to forget the hype and novelty of the concept that you have convinced even yourself of.
Surely it is easy to feel confident about an idea that is gut-driven, but the kind of confidence one feels when well-prepared is priceless. Sober, thoughtful reasoning should be the path through any kind of large endeavor. Crafting a thoughtful plan will help show the way.
